Holiday console decor

Since the month of October, I've been updating and re-decorating different parts of our new home. The entryway is a special spot since this is the welcoming area and the one who speaks the most about my style. I love changing this area according to the seasons since it gives me an opportunity to make this place feel special.

Today I've updated this console following the Holiday spirit that's been running around our place for a while now. This time I went for a simple vignette, adding a small dose of color to make this area pop.
Red is not on my favorite list of colors but this entryway needed the punch to make it feel more active. The small aluminum houses (from last year Target collection) are the perfect accent over the console. A mercury glass vase (from HomeGoods) with eucalyptus (from Hobby Lobby) created a visual balance.

The small wreath hanging over the mirror is what's remaining from a mailbox wreath whose branches I've been using on a lot of other projects. I think that sometimes the simpler the decor, the better it ends up looking. Wouldn't you agree? Let me know about your entryway. Do you prefer to keep it simple, or do you go all out? Would love to read your thoughts.

  1. Está preciosa, Glory!!!! Tiene todo tu estilo sofisticado y a la vez casual... me gusta mucho! Yo tampoco amo el rojo, pero en Navidad, sí que me gusta para dar pequeños toques a la casa... precioso, de verdad! Besos!
